Aloha Friends!
Today I want to share with you my Shakeology recipe. I have come to depend on this drink in the morning. It provides me with sustained energy, 23 essential vitamins & a number of nutrients, & it is not a heavy meal. All in all, it is a win-win for me. For my shakes, I use chocolate. They do have a few other flavors as well as a few choices for Vegans. If you are interested in learning more about this power shake, read my article here for an in depth look at why I swear by this morning elixir.
On to the recipe!

Servings: 1
Ingredients:
1 scoop - Chocolate (or any other flavor) ShakeO
5 strawberries (cut into halves)
1/4 cup blueberries
half of a banana
3-4 ice cubes
Water (I usually buy water by the gallon for the specific purpose of using it for shakes. It is much cleaner/filtered than using tap water.)
Equipment
Cutting board
Culinary Knife
Blender (I use a Ninja)
Directions:
1.) Prepare all of your fruit - wash & cut so it fits easier in the blender.
2.) Add 1 Scoop of the Shakeology powder.
3.) Add 3-4 cubes of ice. If it is past the water line on your blender cup, push
the ingredients down a bit so it fits better.
4.) Fill with water to the water line of your blending cup.
5.) On the Ninja, I have preset blending buttons. I use the Ultrablend but I'd
say blend for 45 sec to a minute, or until everything is well blended.
6.) Pour into a tall glass or drink straight from the cup you blended with to
save on dishes.
7.) Enjoy!
I really do enjoy this drink. I will have to say, it does take a day or two to get use to. The flavor is great but it isn't what you expect. At least, that is the way it was for me. Now, I love it and I look forward to drinking it in the morning.
Let me know how you like this recipe! Do you have a few recipes of your own? Please share!
Mahalo,
