Aloha!
So I had said in a prior post, I am going to be doing yoga for the first week of getting back into exercise. I said I would follow up with one of the Beachbody programs I currently own. Well, my week of yoga is almost up. I have 4 more days and my program starts. Eek! I have decided I will be doing "21 Day Fix" with Autumn Calabrese because it is the one program where I had seen the greatest results. My sister said she would join me as well because she too began seeing results from this program when we had used it in the past.
Let me just start off by saying, this program kicks our butt! Literally! lol. The last time I felt as worked as I did with 21 Day Fix was in high school during the first week of swim season! Yeah...that long ago! I'm not telling you how long...I don't feel like aging myself. :) Just to give you a brief description of what this program is - It is 3 weeks (21 days) of workouts with each day of the week being different. The 7th day is more of a "recovery day" as we go through a light round of yoga. We then start the next week all over again until our 3 weeks is up. This is all within the comfort of your own home.
The best results are seen following the meal plan provided with the program. As we all know, I cannot follow a meal plan for the life of me. What I will be following is the portion control plan provided. When you get this program in the mail, you get the workout program, the meal plan & color coded portion control containers. As I am on the AIP lifestyle diet, I will be following this diet using the 21 day fix portion control containers. I have never done this before but I figure it will work the same way. I guess we will all find out as I post my progress here.
Wish us luck & prepare to read how sore I am because it is inevitable! lol. If you are interested in what we are up to & want to join in on the fun, let me know! I would love to work along side you & reach our goals together! After all, working out with friends is much more fun than working out alone!
Mahalo!

P.S. I will be posting my beginning weight & measurements on Monday here to start tracking my progress.
